Blockchain AI (B-AI) refers to the technological convergence in which artificial intelligence (AI) systems (including machine-learning, deep-learning, inference and autonomous decisionโmaking) are integrated with blockchain (or distributed ledger) infrastructures such that the resulting system leverages the decentralization, immutability, cryptographic integrity, transparency, and economic-incentive mechanisms of the blockchain to support one or more of the following: (a) decentralized training, inference or governance of AI models; (b) auditable and secure data provenance and model lifecycle; (c) tokenised participation (data providers, compute providers, validators) and smart-contract controlled workflows; and (d) enhanced trust, privacy, and transparency in AI operations.
In short, it is the purposeful fusion of AI capabilities with blockchainโs decentralized trust architecture to create systems whose intelligence is governed, distributed, or coordinated via ledger-based mechanisms.
